Submerged is a study on the temporal nature of being in a feminized body. The warm layers of moving image juxtapose flesh, golden murky waters and the shimmering light of the sun reflecting on the water’s skin. The video stratum is at times sedated to the pace of trudging mud. The waters sometimes rush, sometimes percolate. Submerged has been shown as a single channel work of video art and a rear projected media installation emanating from a pink box (as seen above). It was also projected onto the surface of milk filling the interior of a canoe.
