If We’re Not In Our Bodies, Who Is?

Media installation (bed linens, thread, projection mapped digital video)

24 x 16 x 15”

Running Loop: 1 minute, 30 seconds

This form is part of a larger media installation in development that contains a reconstructed domestic space and this fabric sculpture with mapped video projections. The piece is a study on communing with ancestral beings beyond the transmission of experience between mother and child. In this installation, the light is simultaneously metaphor for specters and the energetic substrate all around us. In this way, the digital and material interconnection becomes space for communion where bodily experience can grapple with mysteries of the flux.
