Inhabitance

2021

Media Installation

Dimensions variable

Inhabitance is a large scale a multi-media hybrid sculpture and product of interdisciplinary doctoral research. The work was originally on view as a site-specific installation from April 30 – May 7, 2021 behind the Town of Pearisburg’s historic community center in what was once a high school. It was reinstalled in the Moss Arts Center's Ruth C. Horton Gallery at Virginia Tech from December 2 - 18, 2021. Inhabitance explores transforming the embodiment of trauma by reconnecting our sensory and cognitive experiences, asking us to be in both our thinking and feeling bodies at the same time.
