Daybed alludes to a place where one sleeps. Reminiscent of an eight by ten-foot unfinished bedroom, the exposed wall studs face inward with video blanketing all four on both sides. While the sketch of a framed space is implied, the interior and exterior are also indicative of what one sees and what remains hidden. This could apply equally to unspoken traumatic experiences as well as the faces we put on to show to the world who we want to be seen as in spite of silently suppressed emotion.
